Requirement for moving to Cyprus

Cyprus work permit and work visa
All EU citizens and non-EU citizens should apply for a Cyprus work permit. Non-EU citizens should obtain work visa before their application for work permit.

For non-EU candidates
All non-EU citizens relocate to Cyprus for employment reasons are subject to Cyprus Work Visa.

For EU candidates
Al EU citizens and citizens of Liechtenstein, Iceland, Switzerland and Norway (EFTA) in order to live and work in Cyprus needs to obtain the a “Registration Certificate for EU Nationals” commonly known as “Yellow Slip”

Requirements for Cyprus Work Visa (only for non-EU candidates)

For the submission of your application, you will need the following documents

  • Passport with expiration day no later than one year after your estimated arrival.
  • Criminal Record clearance from police
  • Medical Clearance issued from an approved person or hospital
  • Annual income evidence to support the Cyprus cost of living
  • Employment contract stamped by the Cyprus Department of Labour

Requirements for Cyprus Work Permit and / or yellow slips (applies for all)

For the submission of your application, you will need the following documents

  • Cyprus employment contract seal by the Department of Labour
  • Work Permit Visa with expiration date (for non-EU citizens)
  • Passport with expiration day no later than one year after your estimated arrival.
  • Proof of accommodation in Cyprus (i.e. rental agreement)
  • Medical certificate (original) showing results for Tuberculosis, Hepatitis B and C, HIV/AIDS and syphilis, issued within the past 4 months.
  • Tax Clearance certificate from your new employer (hiring company)
  • Bank Guarantee valid for a minimum of 12 months from the start of your employment.
  • Evidence to verify that application fee will be paid (bank statement)
